Тема урока: “Времена года. Погода. Праздники”. Аудирование.
Цель урока: 1. вывести учащихся на творческий уровень владения темой (свободное владение лексическим и грамматическим материалом в рамках пройденной темы).
2. практиковать учащихся в обсуждении проблемных вопросов по теме; развивать навыки аудирования с полным пониманием прослушанного;
3. воспитать у учащихся интерес к изучению английского языка, как источника получения интересной информации и новых знаний.
Оборудование: магнитофон, аудиокассета или диск с записью текста для аудирования, запись мелодии Jingle Bells.
 Ход урока
I Актуализация опорных знаний

1. Рапорт дежурного.
Вопросы учителя:
What is the date today?
What day of the week is it today?
What was your hometask for today?
What is the weather like today?
Ученик описывает погоду:
“The weather is fine. It is not very cold today. The sky is grey. The sun is not shining. There are many clouds in the sky. It is not snowing. It is not raining. It is windy, but the wind is not strong. It is winter now, so the trees and bushes are bare.”
2. Фронтальная беседа “учитель-класс” по изучаемой теме “Времена года” с целью подведения к основной части урока.
Учитель: What season is it now?
Ученик: Winter.
Учитель: How many seasons do you know? Name them.
Ученик: Four. Winter, spring, summer, autumn.
Учитель: I know a short poem about one season. I’ll recite this poem. Try to guess what season this poem is about.
This is the season
When mornings are dark.
And birds do not sing
In the woods and the park.
This is the season
When children ski.
And Grandfather Frost
Brings the New Year Tree.
Ученик: This poem is about winter.
Учитель: Why do you think so?
Ученик: In winter birds do not sing, children ski, Grandfather Frost brings the New Year Tree.
Учитель: For what holiday does Grandfather Frost bring the New Year Tree?
Ученик: For New Year holiday.
Учитель: How do people usually celebrate the New Year holiday in our country?
Ученик 1: They decorate New Year Trees and houses. Send greeting cards to each other.
Ученик 2: They give presents to their relatives and friends and to children.
Ученик 3: They prepare holiday supper.
Учитель: How did you celebrate this holiday in your school?
Ученик: We decorated our hall with a New Year Tree, flags and toys and we had a New Year Party.
Учитель: What song did you sing at this party?
Ученик: Jingle Bells.
Учитель: Do you want to sing it just now? Let’s make our spirits bright.
Дети поют “Jingle Bells”.
Учитель: What holiday will we soon celebrate in winter?
Ученик: St. Valentine’s Day.
Учитель: When?
Ученик: On the 14-th of February.
Учитель: How do people usually celebrate St. Valentine’s Day?
Ученик: They send greeting cards to their beloved: parents, friends, relatives.
Учитель: Do they sign their cards?
Ученик: No. The person must guess who sent him a card.
Учитель: In our school the pupils are going to celebrate this holiday, too. Did you paint pictures for this holiday?
Ученик: Yes, we did.
Учитель: And now your pictures and the pictures of other pupils are on the wall between the first and the second floor. Did you see them?
Ученик: Yes, I did.
Учитель: Do you like them?
Ученик: Yes, I do.
Учитель: There will be a box for greeting cards (Valentines) on the wall in our school on the 14-th of February. And you may send a Valentine to anyone you like.
And now I want you to recite your short poems-riddles about the seasons and other pupils have to guess what season is your riddle about.
Дети читают короткие стишки-загадки о временах года, подготовленные дома, а остальные ученики отгадывают, о каком времени года каждое стихотворение.
Учитель: In what season do you have the longest holidays?
Ученик: In summer.
Учитель: Where do you usually spend your summer holidays?
Ученик 1: At the seaside.
Ученик 2: In the country in our country house.
Учитель: And now I want you to listen to a story with a name “A house in the country”.

II Основная часть урока.

1. Прослушивание текста в аудиозаписи с заданием: придумать окончание рассказа.
-Listen to the story. Think of a title and of an ending for it.

Bob’s family has got a small but very nice country house. The place is beautiful there. There is a forest and a lake near the house. They’ve got a garden with different fruit trees. Bob’s father enjoys gardening. Bob and his little sister Liz often help their parents work in the garden.
Last summer the family didn’t go to the sea and they spent summer in the country. Every morning Bob went to the lake to swim and to fish.
One morning, as usual, Bob went to the lake to fish. Soon his pail was full of fish. The weather was fine. The sun was high up in the sky. Bob was terribly hot. He thought: “I’ll swim in the lake before I go home. I’ll take the fish home and ask Mum to cook fish soup. Mum will be happy.”
Bob swam and played in the lake for a long time.
When he got out of the water, there was no fish in the pail…

2. Проверка понимания прослушанного.
а). Учитель произносит предложения, ученики должны сказать, соответствуют ли они содержанию прослушанного текста.
Учитель: Listen to the sentences and say if they are true or not. If they are not true correct them.
Учитель: Bob’s family has got a small house near the sea.
Ученик: No. They’ve got a house near the lake.
Учитель: There is a forest and a lake near the house.
Ученик: Yes.Учитель: They’ve got a garden with different fruit trees.
Ученик: Yes.
Учитель: Bob and his sister don’t help their parents with work in the garden.
Ученик: No. They help their parents.
б). Ответы на вопросы по содержанию прослушанного текста.
Учитель: Where did the family spend last summer?
Ученик: In the country house.
Учитель: Where did Bob go every morning?
Ученик: He went to the lake to fish and swim.
Учитель: What was the weather like one morning when Bob went to the lake to fish?
Ученик: It was very hot.
Учитель: Was there fish in the pail when Bob went out of the water?
Ученик: No, there wasn’t.
Учитель: And what happened? Give your ending of the story.
Ученики дают свои варианты концовки рассказа. Каждый составляет монологическое высказывание из 5-7 предложений, соответствующее его уровню.
Вариант окончания:
“The pail was near the river and the boy thought, “The fish swam away back into the water.” There was nobody near the pail, only a cat. It slept. It was very fat with a happy smile on its face. The boy understood, “The cat ate my fish. I will always take my fish home first and only then I’ll come back to the river and swim.””
Учитель: I like your endings of the story very much. And what about you? How did you like the answers of your classmates? Which of them did you like best and why?
Ученики дают краткую аргументированную оценку ответов своих одноклассников, говорят, чей ответ им понравился больше и почему.

III Итог урока

Учитель: Let’s sum our lesson up. At this lesson you remembered different seasons and different holidays we celebrate. You sang songs and recited poems about the seasons. At last you listened to the short story and gave your own endings to it. I liked your work at the lesson very much and I give you good marks (объявляются оценки). The lesson is over. Good-bye.
