Writing task 1

You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour.
Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter

— describe your plans for the party
— invite your neighbour to come
Write at least 150 words.

Dear neighbour,
I am your new neighbour living across the street. My name is Tatyana and my husband is Rostyslav. We have just moved to this city and bought this house and we do not know many people around yet. But you and your family seem to be nice people and we would love to get acquainted with you.
My husband and I are planning to have a small party next Saturday. We plan to celebrate our moving in and invite some of our neighbours. You must know Smith family from Evening Lane 15 and Johnsons from Evening Lane 17 whom we’ve got acquainted recently and confirmed their arrival to the party. Actually it will not be overcrowded event but more like a family dinner — my husband will make a barbeque and I will make some cocktails.
We would like you to come — everyone gets together at around 6PM. Anyway if you are not able to join us we hope the noise will not bother you- we will try to be quiet.

Using a computer every day can have more negative than positive effects on young children.

Nowadays personal computer is one of the obligatory things families buy. Usually there is more than one computer in the house. In my family we have one computer per family member and each of us use its gadget every day — we work on PCs, we ralax watching movies on the big screen on home computer, we play games on iPad, I check mail and social channels update on my smartphone. Now I can not imagine my life without using these advantages of IT world.
We do not have children yet though my sister have two kids, the oldest of them is my niece Veronika who is less then 5 years. Having looked at my sister’s life and can be sure that everyday usage of computer by her children is not a harm but brings positive effect to the children. Let me give you my reasons on that.
Firstly computer is tons of fun for your children. Just give your child an iPad with colorbook apps, animated books and he can entertain himself and also learn something new. There are tons of educational and both entertaining apps for your child out there on AppStore that can be a good switch of activity for the child. More important is that it teaches your child to focus on one thing and concentrate.
I will not forget how my niece was excited while we were playing beautiful Monument Valley app together and she was telling «Wow! It’s so beautiful!»
Another reason to use computer everyday is the access to Internet and its huge database of educational materials. My sister collects educational movies, songs and cartoons for her children on PC from the web at might be interesting for her kids to learn. And you know my niece adores signing Solfeggio songs played from computer for hours and dreams to become a violin player.
Having looked at the examples of my sister everyday life with her kids and how they use computer I can say that the most important thing is not to leave children alone with computer or tablet for long — parent should control what is good and what is bad for the child from what he is doing at the computer. Otherwise your child can play one game on iPad for 2 hours long! Child control and guidance is important for effective use of new technologies that come to the market. In this way your children will quicker learn basic things and will be more educated than other kids of the same age.
Computer is the help for moms that can distract from a child for an hour but of course computer will not replace walk in the park or playing active games with other kids outdoors. To my mind the best result in growing your children clever and healthy is reached with love and attention of the parents. Computer is everyday helper to become better parents. So of course we should use such advantage as a computer.

First of all, it is obvious that there are quite a few mistakes in your answer. However these are minor mistakes (mostly articles) and do not affect the overall meaning.
Your structure is good & you include very good discourse matters — firstly, another reason.
Also you include complex sentences & varied vocabulary.
Remember: for inventions we use ‘the’. ‘the car’, ‘the television’.
